"Brazilian Jiujitsu is not solely a martial art......it is a way of life"
Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting.BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique, taking the fight to the ground – most notably by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the other person. BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition or self-defense. Sparring (commonly referred to as “rolling”) and live drilling play a major role in training, and a premium is placed on performance, especially in competition, in relation to progress and ascension through its ranking system.
it is not solely a martial art: it is also a sport; a method for promoting physical fitness and building character in young people; and, ultimately, a way of life.

"At QCMA you will not only feel like a part of the team, but a part of the family."
– QCMA strives to deliver the very best possible jiujitsu anywhere, and does it in a non pressured, fun environment that enables students to develop their skills. Classes consist of a warmup and drilling session, followed by instructional, and ending off with time for sparring or for practice.
– Classes are taught by certified 3rd degree black belts Joe Bossenberry and Chris Desautels, who have 50 years of combined experience. Having multiple instructors enables us to give more attention to students, and to separate the classes so that students of the same skill level can learn together.
– Students can train at their own pace, for sport or leisure, or be pushed in our competition classes. There is something for everyone, whether male or female, young or old, big or small, we are your source for pure Brazilian Jiujitsu.
